The Charitable Foundation of the Canadian Polish Congress

The Charitable Foundation of the Canadian Polish Congress has served to help those in desperate need. The Foundation is built upon the sincere hearts of individuals who all work without remuneration towards a common and most important goal: to help the needy living in the former USSR as well as groups of Polish ethnicity living in Canada. We also support those needing help in countries where help is either unavailable or inaccessible. The Charitable Foundation also helps to foster the talents of our youth who do not have the resources to allow their gifts to develop and bloom.

Please note some of our most recent initiatives:

  • Children’s winter clothing was shipped to Children’s Orphanages in Poland
  •  Financial aid was issued to Polish communities living in Gruzja and in the Ukraine
  • A onetime stipend was issued to assist an exceptionally talented young pianist – Jasiu Lisiecki – from Calgary, Alberta.  Jasiu performed, accompanied by orchestra, at the National Art Centre in Ottawa where he was very warmly received by both professionals and the public alike.

At this time, when your community spirit and ongoing dedication are most needed, we are appealing to You to join us in our mission to help people whose lives have been touched by tragedy and loss.

A large portion of the funds we raise is donated to help Polish families who live in the East.  Polish people from Belarus, Abkhazia, Gruzja and Ukraine live in great poverty.  These hardship conditions mostly affect the elderly, the sick and especially children..

It is by the grace and goodness of Your generosity that we have been able to direct the majority of our raised funds to these areas.
