Canadian Polish Congress Charitable Foundation Supports Flood Victims in Poland

Toronto, March 2025.

Dear Donors,

Our joint action to help flood victims in Poland has brought almost ninety five thousand dollars. It is primarily the result of the support of all of you, congress organizations, dozens of individual donors, Polish businesses, as well as Polish and non-Polish foundations in Canada.

We extend our gratitude to all of you. We would like to express our special gratitude to the organizations and foundations of the Polish community in Alberta, which generously supported our campaign.

We decided to support directly affected facilities of public benefit, and through local charities - individuals in need. So far, we have sent almost 81,000 Canadian dollars to Poland. Among the beneficiaries are a kindergarten and nursery in Kłodzko, a school and kindergarten in Mościsko, a school and kindergarten in Piława Dolna, a library in Stronie Śląskie, victims in Lądek Zdrój. We continue this process, it is time-consuming and requires an intensive work to identify and verify such institutions, but it guarantees that the funds will be used to the maximum.

The damage caused by the flood is extensive and there are still many needs. Recovery from the damage will take several years. Therefor we continue our fundraising to help flood victims. We would like to thank everyone once again for their generous support and on behalf of the flood victims, we ask for further help. You may:
