2026 Annual Meeting of Members: What You Need to Know
The Canadian Polish Congress is pleased to announce our 2026 Annual Meeting of Members, taking place October 24 and 25 in Victoria, British Columbia. The meeting will bring together delegates from member organizations across the country to shape the direction of Polish-Canadian life for the years ahead.
The Annual Meeting of Members stands at the center of our organization. It is here, every few years, that delegates representing more than 100 member organizations across 15 districts gather to vote, deliberate, and elect the leadership that will carry the Congress forward. The right to vote at this meeting is not a formality. It is the expression of every member organization's stake in the future of our community.
To maintain active membership in good standing and retain voting rights at the AMM, member organizations must complete the 2026 Membership Registration Form and submit payment for membership fees. Each organization's delegate count and number of votes will be calculated based on paid membership numbers. Organizations that have not paid their 2025 membership fees will be required to back pay those fees to ensure their voting standing.
Delegate Certification forms are due from member organizations or branches by September 8, 2026. Organizations unable to send a delegate to Victoria in person may make use of the proxy procedure, though no proxyholder may hold more than four proxies at the meeting.
We ask that organizations not book flights or accommodation until the Congress has confirmed their mandate count and until they have confirmed which delegates have been elected to attend.
We look forward to welcoming delegates from across the country to Victoria this October.
